The Chief Financial Officer Branch (CFOB) is the departmental focal point of accountability to ensure rigorous stewardship of resources and managing for results. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides the Minister, Deputy Minister, Associate Deputy Minister and the Departmental Executive with strategic advice on efficiency of expenditures and value-for-money, as well as anticipating and promoting future trends. The CFO reports directly to the Deputy Minister and is a key member of Health Canada's Senior Management Board. The CFO is also the lead executive with Central Agencies for overall financial management, with a functional reporting relationship to the Comptroller General of Canada.
