Primary Health Care Division

The Primary Health Care Division is responsible for several aspects of primary health care, program delivery and program support. The Division also supports the enhancement of health care services through the use of information and communications technology.

Working closely with First Nations and Inuit communities, national health organizations and First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) Regions, the Division strives to improve primary health care service and health outcomes.

The Division is responsible for:

• Home and Community Care;
• Health infostructure;
  • eHealth;
  • Telehealth;
  • Health Information Systems;
• Aboriginal Health Human Resources; and
• Quality assurance and accreditation.
