X-Ray Inspections and Non-Medical X-rays
The X-Ray Inspections and Non-Medical X-rays Division is responsible for managing radiation risk to X-ray equipment users, service personnel, patients, and the general public. As part of Health Canada, the X-Ray Inspections and Non-Medical X-rays Division
- tests and provides quality assurance guidelines for X-ray equipment and facilities
- provides client consultations on regulatory matters and radiation safety for X-Ray equipment and installations
- inspects federal X-Ray facilities and educates workers on the judicious use of X-rays
- drafts regulatory standards and safety codes for non-medical X-Ray applications and verifies compliance with these documents
