International Partners and Organizations

To fulfill its mandate and meet its international commitments and objectives, Health Canada must work in collaboration with a number of actors, both in Canada and abroad. These partners are generally:

• Non- governmental organizations,
• Other federal departments and agencies,
• International and regional organizations,
• International financial institutions and other stakeholders.

Multilateral relations are an important part of Canada's foreign policy activities. Health Canada is engaged with a range of international organizations in extensive work to help shape the international agenda on health and health care issues.
