Title or working title of the regulatory initiative: Prescription Status of Drugs (Repeal of Schedule F)
Description of the objective:
Regulations are needed to bring into force changes to the Food and Drugs Act (FDA) that were established under the Jobs, Growth and Long-Term Prosperity Act. A regulatory proposal will be developed to replace the current process by repealing schedule F and replacing it with an administrative prescription drug list.

Public consultation opportunities:
Canadians have the opportunity to provide input during the
Canada Gazette, Part I public comment period, currently open until March 7, 2013.
To support the proposed regulatory amendment, a draft guidance document and draft of the new Prescription Drug List have also been developed.
