Title or working title of the regulatory initiative: Regulations Amending the Tobacco (Seizure and Restoration) Regulations
Description of the objective:
The Regulations Amending the Tobacco (Seizure and Restoration) Regulations would eliminate the option to serve notice on the regional manager of the Health Protection Branch, since this reference has become obsolete. The regulation would only allow notices to be served to the Minister, which is deemed sufficient in order to provide a reference point for those seeking restoration of seized products.
