Factsheet: Biographies of Appointed Members
OTTAWA - Today, the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health announced the appointments of Cara Benoit, Karen Clark and Shannon Coombs to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission's (HMIRC) Council of Governors.
"These individuals will be important assets to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission," said Minister Aglukkaq. "The Commission will certainly benefit from their collective knowledge and their valuable experience in the fields of government policy, industrial and occupational hygiene, and workplace safety."
The Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission (HMIRC) is an independent agency accountable to Parliament through the Minister of Health. HMIRC works with stakeholders, including industry, labour and government, to help safeguard both workers and trade secrets in Canada's chemical industry.
