News Release: Minister of Health Attends Inaugural Meeting of the Advisory Council on Traditional Chinese Medicines

On July 18, 2012, The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health, along with Colin Carrie, Parliamentary Secretary, attended the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Council on Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM) in Toronto.

The mandate of the Council is to provide advice on current and emerging issues related to Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCMs) such as the importation, sale, and use of TCMs in Canada.

The Council is composed of a range of stakeholders including industry, health care professionals, and other key members of the community.
