Consultation on Draft Guidance on Preparing and Maintaining Documents under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act

Health Canada is currently conducting a consultation on its draft guidance document for preparing and maintaining documents under the Next link will take you to another Web site Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA). The purpose of this consultation document is to provide you with important information related to requirements for preparing and maintaining documents and to solicit your input regarding Health Canada's draft guidance document.

The CCPSA will replace Part I of the Next link will take you to another Web site Hazardous Products Act and introduce a new regulatory regime for consumer products. The provision for preparing and maintaining documents under the CCPSA (section 13) will help improve the traceability of non-compliant products in the event that a danger must be addressed.

The content has been based on section 13 of the Act.

This consultation is open for comment starting March 9th, 2011 until April 8th, 2011.
