The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has conducted its re-evaluation of 2,4-D, a herbicide commonly used to control weeds on lawn and turf. This section contains all of the relevant materials about the re-evaluation of 2,4-D.
The 2,4-D Re-evaluation Decision document was published on May 16, 2008. As per the Pest Control Products Act, any person who provides a scientific basis may file a notice of objection requesting the reconsideration of a major registration decision within 60 days after the decision is made public. Due to the public interest in the 2,4-D re-evaluation decision, the notice of objection filing period has been extended for 30 days until August 14, 2008.
