Under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has granted conditional registration to the end-use product Scholar 50WP Fungicide, containing technical grade fludioxonil, for use on pome fruits (Crop Group 11) and stone fruits (Crop Group 12). The specific uses approved in Canada are detailed on the product label of Scholar 50WP Fungicide, Pest Control Products Act Registration Number 28568.

Corresponding maximum residue limits (MRLs) were proposed in the consultation document published on 15 August 2007, Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2007 10, Fludioxonil. The PMRA received no comments in response to this consultation.

To comply with Canada's international trade obligations, consultation on the proposed MRLs was also conducted internationally by notifying the World Trade Organization, as coordinated by the Standards Council of Canada. No comments were received as a result of the World Trade Organization consultation.

The following MRLs are legally in effect as of the publication date of this document and have either been revised or been added to the MRLs already established for fludioxonil.
