Description - Microbial Pesticide Ecozones of Canada

This figure depicts the five microbial pesticide ecozones across Canada and the United States. Microbial pesticide ecozone 1 covers most of the western coastal region from northern British Columbia to northern California. Microbial pesticide ecozone 2 covers most of British Columbia's interior as well as northern regions of Washington, Idaho and Montana. Microbial pesticide ecozone 3 covers the southern regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as large regions of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, and smaller areas of northern Nebraska and Iowa. Microbial pesticide ecozone 4 covers most of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River regions, namely southern regions of Ontario and Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as well as areas of northeastern United States, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Microbial pesticide ecozone 5 covers a large area of Canada including southeastern Yukon and the northern regions of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario, the southern regions of Quebec north of the St. Lawrence River valley as well as Newfoundland and Labrador.
