Expert Advisory Committee on Blood Regulation

The Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) on Blood Regulation was formed to provide the Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate with timely advice on our federal responsibilities within the national blood system related to blood, blood components, blood products, and associated issues. Collectively, the Committee members provide health professional and related expertise and advice pertaining to risk/benefit assessments conducted by others within Health Canada, in order to assist the Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate with making appropriate risk management decisions. The decision-making responsibility remains with the Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate.
