About the Project

The Progressive Licensing Project is an initiative of the Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB), as part of the Blueprint for Renewal: Transforming Canada's Approach to Regulating Health Products and Food.

The project reports to the Assistant Deputy Minister of the HPFB and is governed by a Steering Committee made up of the Directors General of the affected directorates in HPFB, including

• Marketed Health Products,
• Therapeutic Products,
• Biologics and Genetic Therapies,
• HPFB Inspectorate,
• Policy, Planning and International Affairs,
• Office of Consumer and Public Involvement, and
• Veterinary Drugs.

The project team is comprised of members with diverse expertise from across HPFB.
