Health Canada is a member of the International Medical Devices Regulators Forum (IMDRF) and is Chair for 2017. Health Canada will be hosting IMDRF's Management Committee (MC) meetings in March and September 2017.
IMDRF was formed in 2011 and is comprised of nine regulatory authorities: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, Japan, Russia, Singapore, and the United States. It is a voluntary group which has come together with the goal of accelerating international medical device regulatory harmonization and convergence by building on the foundational work of the Global Harmonization Task Force.
The MC meetings will include an open stakeholder day for external stakeholders to receive updates from the MC members and IMDRF working group chairs on their regulatory frameworks and work items, respectively. The first stakeholder day for 2017 will take place Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. Those who wish to attend must complete and submit the registration form.
Attendees can register for the DITTA Workshop on March 13 using the registration form.
Attendees can book their hotel reservations by February 24, 2017.
