Subject: Consultation on Health Canada's draft policy on Priority Reviews of Veterinary Drug Submissions

Dear Stakeholder:

The Veterinary Drugs Directorate (VDD), Health Canada recognizes that it may be necessary to provide a priority review of certain drug submissions on a case-by-case basis for health and safety reasons. Accordingly, VDD has drafted a draft Priority Reviews of Veterinary Drug Submissions Policy. This draft policy outlines the criteria and procedures for a drug submission to be considered for priority review.

We are seeking input on the further development and implementation of this draft policy. You can find the proposed policy at:
