Consultation on new Guidance Document: Compliance Requirements for Cabinet X-ray Equipment

The Consumer and Clinical Radiation Protection Bureau is conducting a consultation of a new draft Guidance Document for Cabinet X-ray Equipment. This document has been developed to provide guidance to industry (manufacturers, importers, distributors and users) in terms of compliance requirements, roles and responsibilities, and definitions. This Guidance Document supplements the existing Radiation Emitting Devices (RED) Regulations (Schedule II, Part XV: Cabinet X-ray Equipment), which should be read concurrently.

Your comments and suggestions on this draft Guidance Document are welcomed. Interested parties will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed Guidance Document starting April 30, 2012. The comment period will close July 31, 2012.

Comments will be evaluated and a final guidance document will be posted on this website.

This draft Guidance Document is open for comment starting April 30, 2012 until July 31, 2012. A copy of the draft Guidance Document can be obtained by contacting the Consumer and Clinical Radiation Protection Bureau:
