Electronic Bill Payment Service now available at National Dosimetry Services!

Beginning October 4, 2010 Electonic bill payment is available at most Financial Institutions (FI).

The information given below is generic and may differ by FI.

How it works

If you have not already done so, you will have to first register with your FI in order to pay your bills through the internet. If you need help doing this, please contact your FI directly.

Once you have registered with your FI, you will need your Client ID number to pay your bill.

Your Client ID number can be found on the Account Activity Report-AAR (below your group number) you receive from NDS in the mail.

After you have registered with your FI and found your Client ID number, log in to your online banking account to pay your AAR and then choose Health Canada NDS / Santé Canada SND from the list of payees.

Options

Some FIs may give you the option of having your payment automatically withdrawn from your account. This means that you don't have to remember to submit your payment yourself. Please contact your FI for information regarding this type of service.

Is this service available at all Financial Institutions (FI)?

Not all FI's offer this service. If you don't see the National Dosimetry Services in the list of suppliers on your FI's website, please contact them to inquire when it will be available.

How do I find out if my bank accepts electronic bill payments?

You need to contact your Financial Institution to obtain this information.

Is there a cost for using this payment method?

This depends on your FI and the type of account you have.

Where do I find my Client ID number?

Your Client ID number can be found on your Account Activity Report below your group number.

Will you be sending us electronic Account Activity Reports instead of paper copies now?

No, electronic Account Activity Reports are not available at this time.

In the past I have paid with my credit card. Does this mean I no longer have this option?

You can still pay using your credit card. Electronic bill payment is simply another option you now have to pay your bill.

In the past I have paid with my credit card and I would now like to pay my bill electronically. How do I stop my credit card payments?

If you have been calling us every time to give us your credit card information, you don't need to contact us. If we have your credit card information on file and have been using it to pay your bills automatically, you will need to contact us to cancel this method of payment.

In the past I have paid my bill by mailing a cheque. Will this option still be available?

Yes you can still pay your account by mail.
