• to ensure by intercomparison participation that calibrations done by monitoring organizations are accurate,
  
  
• to provide radioactive standard reference samples for measurement of internal radiation doses, and
  
  
• to provide information, advice, training and consultation to help clients improve their procedures, calibrations, and equipment.
