Following the Committee's Review of the Workplace Health Profile, complete the checklist to determine whether the organization is ready to move to Stage 5.
How does the Workforce Overview compare with the Workplace Health Profile?
Is there a good return rate from all occupational groups?
Does the Committee feel that the questionnaire results are complete enough for them to proceed to Stage 5 (Corporate Health Plan) and Stage 6 (Corporate Health Action Plan).
If not, did the Committee gather supplementary data to fill the gap?
Did the Committee establish a means of communicating the results to employees including "feedback groups" to discuss program implications?
Objective: Create the Corporate Health Plan charting the direction of the Workplace Health System.
The Corporate Health Plan contains recommendations on which senior management takes action
The Workplace Health Committee is responsible for creating the direction of the Workplace Health Program and planning program strategies. To prepare the Corporate Health Plan, the Committee will use the Workplace Health Profile as a basis for its recommendations. These recommendations are submitted to senior management for approval. The response of senior management gives the Committee the general direction and resources it requires to proceed with programs.
The Corporate Health Plan is a very important blueprint. It charts out the programming direction for the future and acts on the major needs as identified by the Workplace Health Committee. The Plan contains strategies that respond to identified needs, and sets out a time-frame for enacting these strategies relative to the other priorities identified. The Plan could also include an estimate of the cost of implementing the programs as it is the document on which senior management takes action (i.e., makes decisions and designates resources).
