Further to the April 2007 publication of Blueprint for Renewal II a major initiative presenting Health Canada's vision and objectives aimed at modernizing Canada's regulatory system for health products and food, Health Canada consulted with stakeholders by publishing a discussion paper in November of 2007 entitled Managing Health Claims for Foods in Canada:Towards a Modernized Framework and holding six regional workshops in January and February of 2008.  The feedback provided by stakeholders has been reviewed by Health Canada and captured in the following two reports.  The Report on Stakeholder Feedback on Modernizing Canada's Framework for Health Claims on Food provides a summary and analysis of the feedback received on the Discussion Document as well as the six regional  workshops; while  the Report of Regional Workshops on Modernizing Canada's Framework for Health Claims on Food specifically relates to the feedback received at these workshops.
