NOTE: The following is a summary of methods in the Compendium of Analytical Methods that can be used to detect the presence of Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes. This summary can be used to aid the Laboratory Supervisor and Analyst in choosing the appropriate methods for the analysis of their sample(s). It is NOT an indication that each method must be used for each sample.

It is the responsibility of the Lab Supervisor to ensure that the latest version of each method and Supplements (as appropriate) are being used.
