Results-Based Management and Accountability Framework

The Results-Based Management and Accountability Framework (RMAF) describes the integrated approach by which the First Nations and Inuit Home and Community Care (FNI HCC) Program will measure, manage, evaluate and report on results throughout its life cycle.

The RMAF was developed during the fiscal period 2001/2002. The development of the RMAF relied heavily on the input of a FNI HCC Program Evaluation Working Group which is comprised of representatives from First Nations and Inuit, national and regional FNIHB-FNI HCC representatives and coordinators, FNI HCC program staff from the communities, the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) and the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK).

The RMAF represents an understanding between all partners in program delivery as to what they aim to achieve, how they will work together to achieve it and how they will measure and report on outcomes. The RMAF is a tool for better program management and continuous learning.
