The Canadian Handbook on Health Impact Assessment was originally published in 1998 by the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Committee on Environmental and Occupational Health and subsequently updated in 2000 and 2004. This Handbook has four volumes:
The Handbook examines the need and the procedures necessary to incorporate the assessment of human health effects in an impact assessment process, and intends to assist individuals with health knowledge in the medical fields, social sciences and government/industry health experts to participate in the impact assessment process.
