The infant rule of nines is illustrated. An infant body is shown anterior and posterior. For the anterior portion of the body’s surfaces, the percentage of body surface area is approximated at 9% for the head, 18% for the trunk, 4.5% for each arm and 7% for each leg. For the posterior portion of the body’s surfaces, the percentage of body surface area is approximated at 9% for the head, 13% for the trunk, 2.5% for each buttock, 4.5% for each arm and 7% for each leg.
