This is to advise you that the Regulations Amending the Narcotic Control Regulations (SOR/2010-221), the Regulations Amending Parts G and J of the Food and Drug Regulations (SOR/2010-222), and the Regulations Amending the Benzodiazepines and Other Targeted Substances Regulations (SOR/2010-223) were published in the Canada Gazette, Part II, on November 10, 2010.
These amendments are technical in nature and respond to concerns raised by the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations. The amendments correct grammatical errors, increase the linguistic consistency between the English and French versions of the regulations and ensure greater clarity of application. Further details can be found in the Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement (RIAS).
