Health Infostructure Support Program
The Northern Telehealth Network is a consortium of Saskatchewan Health, SaskTel and six Saskatchewan health districts. The consortium represents those districts serving remote and rural communities with First Nations populations, regional health centres acting as referral and secondary treatment locations, and an urban tertiary referral and specialist centres.
The goals of the project are to improve access to health services from remote locations and to improve access to health related education and information for both health providers and consumers. The project builds on the pilot Northern TeleHealth Network activities that have funded the basic equipment necessary to connect several remote communities.
Project Funding under HISP: $489,700.00
