National Child Day

 National Child Day marks the day of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. By ratifying this Convention in 1991, Canada made a commitment to ensure that all children are treated with dignity and respect.

Sun Safety

Health Canada shares a joint initiative with Environment Canada called the UV Index Sun Awareness Program. This program is aimed at elementary and high school teachers to teach their students how to use the UV index as a tool to better protect themselves from the harmful UV rays from the sun.
